What a glorious week it’s been for the weather (maybe a bit too glorious!) I’d like to reassure you that we head into the shade wherever possible whenever the weather gets like this, even better if we can get near running water too. Please ensure you have water with you and sunblock. I tend to carry sunblock as I go from white to burnt in no time at all.
We have welcomed 3 New Passport Holders this week who will be joining us on walks soon.
The Wellbeing Walks start this Friday which will be shorter walks with a gentler pace and with gentle exercises which aim to improve your walking and daily life.
I will also be introducing the occasional longer walk on a Saturday where we will change from our regular meeting spot at The Railway-Rose Hill. Saturday Longer walks are scheduled for 30th June, and 4th August so far.
Here are the links.
Our Regular Adventure Walks are approx 90mins in length, using Gear 1 and Hills

Here is a review of our recent Discover Mellor Walk
“The sun was out and a perfect spot in Mellor to start our 3 hour leisurely walk. Tim made sure we all had water and sunscreen before setting out.
This was my first long walk with a lovely group of friendly people and we were soon chatting and getting to know each other.
We took in some amazing scenery over Mellor and beyond. Tim gave some interesting historical facts along the way. The terrain was good with some slight hills but nothing too tasking.!
An enjoyable morning walk! “
Most of the Special walks will be paced at our Regular Gear 1 plus hills sort of pace, but please don’t hesitate to ask if you’re worried about if the walk will be suitable for you.
