What a beautiful spell of weather we’re having at the moment, remember to stay hydrated on our walks, we welcomed five more Freedom Passport Holders this last week it was strange but welcome to see people walking in shorts and T-shirts, I didn’t recognise people without all their layers on!!

Special Walks 

25th May Chinley Churn and SouthheadCome and join us discovering the hills and moorland around Chinley, in the Peak District.This is a walk of 8.5km with stunning views of Kinder Scout (The highest Peak in the Peak District) and the surrounding areas.This is a hilly walk with quite a climb during the first 2km. NWUK Gear 1 and hill technique.Optional coffee and cake afterwards at ‘Tea on the Green’
8th June Get to Know Samuel Oldknow
Come and join us learning about the mill owner Samuel Oldknow who owned one of the larger cotton mills in Stockport, we will be visiting several sites that had links with him, This is a walk of 8km (5miles) mostly on the flat with some hills up and down along the way. NWUK Gear 1 and Hill technique.
